Worship is the place where God speaks to us and we speak to God. It is where our strength comes for another week. It is the fellowship and Family that send us out into the world to serve. Worship at Lovely Lane is a mixed bag!
Our 8:00 AM service is usually fairly quiet and traditional, while our larger 10:30 AM service is often blended with contemporary and traditional elements.
On the first Sunday of the month we celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Special Sundays like Easter, Palm Sunday, All Saints Sunday, Pentecost, and Christmas are usually more formal as well. But on other Sundays we are often surprised at who might lead worship - sometimes the children or youth, sometimes the choir or a klezmer band, or sometimes a character from the Bible might join us! Our worship is always lively, filled with wonderful music and singing, and is open to everyone and anyone.
While most of us dress up a little for worship, causal dress is always present and accepted at Lovely Lane. We are currently exploring the possibility of a third worship service either on a Thursday or a Saturday night. Whatever the time, whatever the style, know that you are always welcome to join us!
