Music is a big part of our ministry with children! We have a graded children's choir that meets during the school year on Wed. nights as a part of Kids Klub that begins with a family meal at 5:30 and runs from 6:00 - 7:00 PM.
Choristers (3rd - 5th grades) meet 6:00-6:25
Littlest Angels (preschool) meet 6:25-6:35
Cherubs (K-2nd grades) meet 6:35-7:00
The children sing the third Sunday of the month at the 10:00 worship service. Every other year we do a musical that is presented at 8:00 & 10:00. In Feb. they did "Are We There Yet?" the story of the Exodus. The choirs also enjoy being a BIG part of our yearly Christmas program.
Handbell Choir
Lovely Lane Ringers is a 3-5 octave handbell/chime choir that delights to ring praises to God! This choir meets during the school year on Thurs. nights from 6:45-7:45 PM. They ring the second Sunday of every month at both the 8:00 & 10:00 worship services. They have rung "in the round" and as they processed into worship! They ring in small groups, at Holy Week services, and for the Christmas program. Child care is provided for rehearsals.
Chancel (Adult) Choir
This vocal ensemble meets Sunday mornings at 9:15 AM for rehearsal and shares the scriptures through song at the 10:30 AM worship service. This group meets and participates in worship during the school year, but generally takes a break during the summer months. A wide variety of literature is used to enhance the message of our worship services. Special presentations with instrumental accompaniment typically take place during Lent and Advent. New singers are always welcome to drop in to any rehearsal. Please join us!
Youth Instrumental Ensemble
This group of middle school and high school instrumentalists meet for a few rehearsals prior to sharing their music in worship. It's a great way for youth to get involved, share their talents, make friends and play in an instrumental group outside of school.
Instrumental and Vocal Soloists & Small Groups
Soloists and small groups of any age and instrument are welcome, with the prior approval of the music director and/or pastors, to share their music as part of worship or other special events. It's a great way for students planning to perform at solo and ensemble contests to have a safe, welcoming place to perform in front of an audience prior to their contest, or any time of the year. Adults are also welcome to organize small singing & instrumental groups throughout the year.
