Imagine No Malaria Awareness Day at Lovely Lane United Methodist Church will be June 29th. We'll be sleeping out on the front lawn in bed nets to help raise awareness in our community. If you'd like to join us, go to the link below and let me know your plans. RSVP is not required, but will give us an idea of numbers to expect for dinner and/or the sleepover. Invite a friend! - it's open to the public.
If you are a Mission Possible Kid, wear your shirt! There are plenty of ways for Secret Agents and families to support the cause:
If you are sleeping under a bed net - We will provide you with the bed net, you must bring a tarp, bedding, etc. to sleep on. For those that own a tent, you can bring this with and hang the bed net over it. Those without tent frames will be hung up with rope. If you aren't feeling adventurous enough to sleep under a bed net you can still join us with your own regular tent set-up.
Plan to gather with LL Women of all ages for a morning send-off at the church and then carpool to Dubuque to walk the Prayer Labyrinth at Hadley Chapel and tour the Tiffany Windows at St. Luke United Methodist Church – for FREE! Then you and your LL girlfriends are free to check out the shops and get lunch (Dutch treat) on the avenue!
