One of the things that makes our programs so wonderful is our staff members. With a full-time director, a part-time site-director at Trinity, and 13 teachers and associates, we are ready for anything!
Ms. Julie, 2s lead teacher at Lovely Lane
Ms. Julie has taught at Lovely Lane for the past four years. She has taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School at Lovely Lane for the past six years. She has a degree in Graphic Design, and is currently working toward her Child Development Asosciate Credential. Ms. Julie is married and has one daughter. "Silly songs, play dough, puppets, and paint - these are a few of my favorite things!"
Ms. Dawn, 3s lead teacher at Lovely Lane
Ms. Dawn graduated from Iowa Wesleyan College with a BA in Elementary Education and an endorsement in early childhood education and reading. She has been teaching preschool at Lovely Lane for two years.
Ms. Sheri, 4s lead teacher at Lovely Lane
Ms. Sheri has a Master of Arts in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. This is her 5th year of teaching preschool. Ms. Sheri grew up in the Cedar Rapids area and her family still lives in the area.
Miss Tamara, 2s lead teacher at Trinity Lane
This is Ms. Tamara's 2nd year at Trinity Lane. She is originally from Pennsylvania, where she earned her BS in Secondary English Education and a BA in English. She moved to Iowa with her husband in 2005 from Ohio, where she taught English and coached Speech and Debate for 3 years. Since moving to Iowa, Ms. Tamara has enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom to her 2 children, as well as teaching Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and Children's Chapel at St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
Miss Jane, 3s lead teacher at Trinity Lane
This is Miss Jane's second year at Trinity Lane, and 15th year teaching preschool children. Miss Jane was born and raised in Cedar Rapids and graduated from Kennedy High School. She is married and has two sons - one in Jackson, WY and the other in Steamboat Springs, CO. Miss Jane graduated from Iowa State with a BA in Early Childhood/Special Education and received her Master's degree from Drake University in Elementary Counseling. "I have taught at St. Patrick's, St. Paul's FOCUS, and in the Cedar Rapids and Marion School districts, but Trinity Lane is by FAR my favorite place to teach because I can share the love of Jesus and pray with my class everyday!!" :)
Miss Angie, 4s lead teacher at Trinity Lane
Ms. Angie currently teaches the 4 year old voluntary preschool program partnered with the Cedar Rapids School District at Trinity Lane Preschool. She has her Elementary Education and Special Education degree from Mount Mercy College. She taught 4 years at a private preschool, then took a break to raise her own kids and has now returned to teaching this past year and is loving it! "I have a wonderful husband and 3 active boys of my own who keep me busy!"
