Worship is the place where God speaks to us and we speak to God. It is where our strength comes for another week. It is the fellowship and Family that send us out into the world to serve.
Sunday morning worship times:
Our 8:00 AM and 9:15 AM services are usually fairly quiet and traditional, while our larger 10:30 AM service is often blended with contemporary and traditional elements.
On the first Sunday of the month we celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Special Sundays like Easter, Palm Sunday, All Saints Sunday, Pentecost, and Christmas are usually more formal as well. But on other Sundays we are often surprised at who might lead worship – sometimes the children or youth, sometimes the choir or a klezmer band, or sometimes a character from the Bible might join us! Our worship is always lively, filled with wonderful music and singing, and is open to everyone and anyone.
While most of us dress up a little for worship, causal dress is always present and accepted at Lovely Lane. Whatever the time, whatever the style, know that you are always welcome to join us!
Time with the Children
Our worship services include and welcome everyone. Children will grow and learn about God through music (all Sunday school classes will perform three times a year in service) and through bible lessons in Sunday school class. Children enjoy a special time with the pastors in each worship service, where a special message is shared. Children are then invited to a special 10:45 AM Sunday School time following the Time with Children. The 10:45 AM Sunday school is offered for preschool through fifth grade, but we encourage middle and high school kids to worship in service or help with the younger children downstairs.
