I am once again coordinating Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan’s Purse, This wonderful program is a way to give kids around the world a gift of toys, personal items, and most importantly, the gift of God’s love. Along with a box, each child will receive a booklet of “The Greatest Gift” written in their own language-giving them the opportunity to hear the Gospel and accept Christ as their savior.
From Sept. 1, 2019, until Nov. 16, 2019, I will be collecting shoeboxes, toys for boys or girls, school supplies, hygiene items, shirts, hats, and gloves. I will also be raising funds for the purchase of items. All gift boxes will be filled on Nov. 16th and dropped off at the distribution center on Nov. 18th.
Operation Christmas Child has moved me and called me to act! I can see how God’s love has transformed my son and all of the kids at Lovely Lane. I want to see all kids feel that love!
I ask that you consider joining in this mission, and that you reach out to your friends and family to participate. There are several ways you can help: 1) Donate empty shoeboxes. 2) Donate a filled shoebox. 3) Donate items from the wish list. 4) Give a gift of money to purchase items to fill our boxes. Children can help too by coordinating their own coin drive and donating to “Shake the Shoe Box; Make Noise for the Lord!” They can also pick up a coloring page to put in our boxes on packing day.
